Can I change my iPhone location without a computer?
Yes. ShiftMy setup and location selection are completed on the iPhone through Safari and Settings. You do not need a Mac, PC, or USB cable.
Does ShiftMy require a jailbreak?
No. ShiftMy works on standard iOS without modifying the operating system.
Do I need Xcode or an Apple Developer account?
No. There is no Xcode build, developer signing, or computer-installed app.
Does ShiftMy change my public IP address?
No. Your normal cellular or Wi-Fi public IP remains unchanged. A website estimating your region from IP can therefore show a different place from an app reading iOS Location Services.
Does it work with every app?
Compatibility varies. Apps can use iOS location, public IP, account history, device data, and their own checks. ShiftMy includes two free successful changes so you can test the app that matters to you before buying a pass.
Why do I need to refresh Location Services?
iOS and individual apps can cache an earlier coordinate. After setting or resetting a location, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services, turn it off, then turn it on again to request a fresh result.
How do I return to my real location?
Tap Reset in ShiftMy, then refresh Location Services. Reopen the app you are testing if it still displays a cached location.
Are the first two changes free?
Yes. ShiftMy counts successful location changes, giving you a practical way to test compatibility before purchasing.
How long does a pass last?
Pass time begins when payment is confirmed and runs for the exact purchased duration. A 24-hour pass bought at 5 PM ends at 5 PM the next day; a 7-day pass runs for 168 hours.
Is a paid pass tied to my account?
Yes. Sign in with the account used for checkout to access its active pass. Keep your email verified so you can recover access if you forget your password.
